Windows Movie Maker DV-AVI crashes TMPGEnc

I use DV-AVI as input to Windows Movie Maker 2, and produce DV-AVI-NTSC output AVI with video and audio.

TMPGEnc (v2.521.58.169) crashes (just disappears) at middle of 2-Pass VBR (just before second pass).
TMPGEnc crashes (just disappears) at end of first batch job without running next batch job.

Note: AVI-Mux also crashes while opening AVI file.

Any ideas on how to get TMPGEnc to 'like' Movie Maker 2 DV-AVI files?

You might want to get the free Canpus typ1 to type 2 convertor. TMPG may not like the type 1 files that WMM generates.
