Is there a way that i can take an ac3 soundtrack from an avi and encode it into a pro logic II Stereo wav.For VCDs

First off, please reread the forum rules, noting especially #1. Also you'll want to read through the audio faq's.
In response to your question, yes, just extract the AC3 from the AVI using VdubMod and then use BeSweet or HeadAC3he to decode ac3 > wav with the 'surround 2' downmix option. I don't know why you'd want to use .wav, the VCD standard supports mpeg layer 2 (mp2) audio, which is much more efficient in size.

I did read up on the subject but what i encountered on the subject was way to much for a newbie to convert. I'm just looking for the best option to do so.
