Video Upside Down

seems that a few AVI files I have play upside down. I can't remember for sure but I thought these files were okay. Is there something I might be doing wrong or might do differently to correct this?

Some compression / decompression technologies can cause the phenomena. It may or may not be anything you've done wrong. Or it may be something that happened during encoding. But the "fix" is fairly easy. Certainly easier then reenconding, or reinstalling Windows, codecs, video drivers, and AVI players in the vain hope that it might help.

Just use ffdshow as your decoder rather than DivX. The ffdshow decoder can be set to flip the video for you, which would turn those videos right side up again. ffdshow is included in the Gknot suite, so you may have it installed already if you use Gknot, but if not, it's also in the list of downloads from Doom9's web site.

thanks - these few files are actually already AVI files . IS there a viewer that will allow me flip them?
