View Full Version : Is there a way to fix crc errors ?

I have an avi file that has a couple of crc errors in it. There are only two errors, but its enough to through the last 10 miniutes of the movie out of sync. Is there anyway i can fix this? I have encode it a dozen times with various methods but it never works. Let me know if you would like to have more information. I would love to be able to get this working.

What is the source you are encoding the .avi from ? If DVD, you may want to re-rip the DVD, one source of CRC errors can be a poor rip to hard disk. Additionally, please read up on these two very relevant threads on CRC errors, answers courtesy of DSPguru:
