What is the first movie you have seen on cinema?

Mine was "La Storia Infinita" (?The Neverending Story?), thanks to a cineforum organized on my little city.
I was 11-12 years old, going at cinema after church on Sunday morning (sometimes after playing Ghost & Goblins on the bar near the church :D).
Great experience!

Other movies i've seen on this cineforum: Back to Future, Navigator, and a lot of others i don't remember...

"Earth vs The Flying Saucers" My parents had to take me out of the theater screaming my head off, scared the hell out of me. I was about six. "Sleeping Beauty" was another one that terrified me. Now Horror and Science Fiction are my favorite genre.

The first film I saw in a theater was Disney's Berneard and Bianca if I remember correctly. Iwas something like 3 or 4 years old at the time.

Disney's Old Yeller. The local theatres in my area used to participate in a summer movie program sponsored by Royal Crown Cola. Come up with 6 RC cola bottle caps and you got in to the Saturday 10:00 Am showing of 2 older movies and they gave you a ticket number and awarded door prizes. Lot of fun and best of all they had that novel new invention; air conditioning. In the area I grew up in, that alone was like manna from heaven.

But my first "real" movie experience I can remember of was Terminator 2 !!!

And its still my favorite action movie... ! ;)

I have a horrible memory of my childhood (the memories aren't horrible, just the lack of them). Although I have no clear memories of it, I'm fairly sure I saw ET when it was originally released. I would have been 5 at the time.

Same here. Empire Strikes Back. Well it was either that or one of the first Star Trek movies. Not sure which one was first.

The first movie I ever saw that I can vividly remember was Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (thanks to Dad for being a fan). We saw it at one of the last Drive-In movie screen in my area back in 1983. :)

The Wizard of Oz is one of the first movies I can recall, though I remember many terrific saturday afternoons at the local theather near home, watching tons of westerns, peplums and pirate movies.

They just don't make films like that nowadays :(

(you can tell I'm swedish, right? ;)) Can't remember now, it's been way too long time ago. But I do remember the first 'grown-up' picture that I was allowed to watch on an evening with my parents. 'Tuppen' (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0083238/maindetails) ('The Rooster' in english) I was about 8 at the time, and a year later I saw my first english speaking movie (we only got dubbed versions of the Disney's). First movie I saw was E.T. I remember crying all the way home because I didn't want E.T. to go home. I must have been 4 years old.

The first movie I went to by myself was Batman (the first one). I was 12. :)

funny topic, I didn't remember but it must be some disney feature or something like that. Back then even suburbs like mine had they own cinema but they are all gone now. Since then I didn't watch much animated movies, the only one I remember atm are Thron and Fist of the north star

first one i can clearly remember seeing was fantasia(disney)in the early 70's.

i have to add i also saw star wars(yes episode 4 as its called now) ,when it originally came out, at the drive in. man was that a blast. the drive in has now gone and kids where i live will no longer know what that was like. :(

I say the same. It was either Aristocats or Jungle Book. The Jungle Book is as old as I am (I was born in 1967) but it has probably been on the movies many times since then.
