xvid no sound

Please help. If anyone knows why, when i try to encode a xvid movie to svcd pal using pro-coder,the picture is great but i have no sound.Please keep your answers simple coz i'm new to this game.

what format is the original audio?

Because XviD is a video codec and it has nothing to do with audio.
It also has nothing to do with SVCD's.
As said though, what format? AVI? OGM? MKV? MP4? NSV? or what? Also what audio compressor?
