View Full Version : problem with cce when doing PAL dvd to......

whenever i convert a pal dvd to svcd in dvd2svcd it runs through all the apps until cce when it comes up with an error saying,
"835x15 not supported max is 720x480" or something like that, (cant remember exact values of the top of my head!)Then it'll go no further!

Is this a simple problem to fix?

With the amount of info you gave us, no it isn't simple to fix. Check out the "How to Post..." sticky for guidance on what is helpful.

From the sound of it, Avisynth is generating an error message instead of a frame to serve to CCE. Try opening the .avs file from your movie folder in Media Player and see what it says.

Also, are you using an external ripper? if so, don't! Use internal ripping routines.

Have you had a crack at editing the avisynth script or suchlike?

i used dvd dycrypter to rip the dvd,

the avs script in media player says

Plugin C:\PROGRA~1\DVD2SVCD\MPEG2Dec\mpeg2dec.dll is not an AviSynth 2.5 plugin.
(F:\MYVIDE~1\HOWTOL~1.DAY\AVISYN~.AVS, line 1)

also the eror msg says

Frame Size 896x56 is not supported. Supported frame size is up to 720x576

any ideas, i have been through the stick and cant seem to remedy!

This means that mpeg2dec.dll is not an AviSynth 2.5 plugin. ;)

You may have installed a different version. Please install 2.5. It comes bundled with DVD2SVCD.

This may be a simple colateral effect of the above. The pictures did not convert well.

You can't seem to get how to do a good post either. Please read what Nick suggested, and remember Rule 16. You'll save lots of embarrasments.

thanks for the help so far, the mpeg2dec.dll which is installed should be the one from the dvd2svcd bundle i have. Is it possible to download 2.5 on its own to replace?

Heres the log so far, ive had a couple attempts at the encoding

You can go to the Frameserver tab and click on "Download AviSynth 2.0 and 2.5 here".

But I recommend you to get Build 3 of DVD2SVCD, which bundles it already.

Also, please post you CCE version and your AVS script.

Nick suggested you to read
this (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19566). Then I insisted, and a reiterate again. Please do so.

Also, just in case you have not done so, follow the instructions detailed in the Doom9 Guide for DVD2SVCD to get your encode done. It works.

Support (beta) for Avisynth 2.5 has been included in D2S 1.1.3 (See readme.txt)
Seems you have an unsupported installation (D2S 1.1.2 + Avysinth2.5).
Deinstall completely avisynth, dvd2svcd and reinstall the last version 1.2.1b3, as r6d2 recommends you.
