View Full Version : Need To Trim Audio - Source DTS

I apologize if this query has been answered before, but I really couldn't find the answer after searching for awhile. I am trimming out the credits part of my video, and need to trim the audio likewise. I would like to use the demuxed DTS track to transcode it to wma 5.1, using BeSweet/BeSweetGUI. But how on earth can I trim the DTS source in the same spot as my video? Or can DTS be trimmed in the first place? Is there any other way to achieve what I want? Please pardon my ignorance, just need some guidance.
Thanks to anybody who care to answer.

Thanks for that info Daphy. Added to the audio FAQ #19B.

Thanks to daphy for the heads up. Now i'm playing around with the app since it seems it trims by time, not by frame. And i'm using gordian knot's video preview to mark the frames i want cut out. The other option that i tried was to mark out the unwanted portions in DVD2AVI by using the ']' button, then saving my .d2v project, but i found out after searching through that DVD2AVI is not frame-accurate. What i want to achieve is really simple, i want to join The Matrix 1 and Reloaded into one continuous file, trim out the end credits part of Matrix 1 and both the starting credits and end credits for Reloaded, which makes it ready for another joining when the Revolutions DVD comes out next year. :) I'll continue experimenting until i get frame-accurate results.

actually, BeSplit also supports dts (join and split).
you can find commandline example in here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55735) and in another threads as well.
