ok -at the risk of gettin yelled @ again-i've givin up after searching all over an decided to post-i've captured from my tv card -of course the files are huge-@ the moment my OS is 98se-so the files were split into many less then 2 gig files-but someone said if i change to xp then there is no restriction on file size-What is the limit on file size that V-Dub can handle if i format to xp? I've tried to capture for so long with no good results untill i got this new progy an the capture works great - but now i have to compress it and not having fun. There it is . Thank You for any Help

Hi,
Windows 98 uses FAT 32, that means you can have a file with maximum 4 gig.
WinXP has another Harddisk format called NTFS (New Transfer File Sytem).
With NTFS you can have much bigger files (i don't think that there is really a limit).
VDub can handle them easily!
Also you can encrypt and compress your data.
If you wanna try it just select NTFS when installing XP or if already have installed it goto command line and type in:"Convert [HDD]:NTFS".
Then you should no more have split files.:D
