Hello,
I have been reading a lot of the posts and have learned a lot about VCD/SVCD and DVD authoring, thank you all. I have been using the ultra simple programs DVD Shrink, DVDx, and EasyVCD to author with much success. My problem comes when I try and author using DVD2SVCD. My process always bombs out if I try and create VCD/SVCD with title pictures or change CD pictures. I got through that by checking no images and it seems to work fine. Although it seems weird for a program that many users stick with defaults and have no problems, pictures never work for me. OK, now I'm finally set to go. I can either use TMPEG or CCE and my aspect ration is screwed. I am trying to make a multipass VBR SVCD of Two Towers. I ripped using DVD Decrypter. I only have two options the 4:3 no borders or 16:9 encoded as 4:3. I get a vertical stretch that looks bad. I searched the forums and found a similar thread but wasn't sure it applied. The fix for the poster was to edit the Avisynth file and a bunch of steps that were over my head. I have no problem creating the SVCD in DVDx and have the correct aspect ratio but I am wasting bitrate with the CBR process. Is there something simple that I am missing?
