Welcome aboard bobbystills.

Since this is your first post you won't get a strike, but a reminder what you're supposed to do before posting: read the forum rules.

Rule 1 is very clear: use the search, make sure to read the guides and FAQs which are there on that matter.

Now, please take a look at the top of this forum. There's a XCD sticky thread. A FAQ. If I look into that FAQ, i see your question in another light:

You write:Ive tried dat2fileGUI.exe but when i clk convert the file created is 0 bytes

If one program doesn't work for you, try at least one or two different ones - it can be a flaw in the program used, now from the FAQ (which you should read):11) How can i copy data from XCD to my harddisk?
Never ever copy XCD files directly to hard disc! If you do that, those 28 bytes of overhead will stay in the file, and the file is still an XCD-File. If you then make a new XCD from that file, you get more overhead, the file grows again, and the XCD-Filter must be run twice to read the file! The same is happening of course with VCD and SVCD.
To copy your XCD to hd use the dat2file programm bundled with Mode2 CD Maker, Extractor or AVI-Mux GUI

See, there are different programs available - try those first, and only if those don't work post the question like you did.

I hope this helps your problem as well.

Koepi

@Koepi
how do i convert a dat file of an xcd :o that has been extracted wrong, (meaning it has those 28 bytes of overhead still in the file) to ogm?

Im pretty sure extractor can not do this although i cant say for sure cause i couldnt get it running.

The results I got using dat2fileGUI.exe are posted above

When i tried to create an iso from the dat with M2CDMGUI.exe i got a bin/cue but it wouldnt burn.(probably cause of the extra overhead. which lead me to believe that I might have to convert the dat to ogm b4 creating iso.
maybe theres another way using this proggy to create an iso Would someone who "actually" knows be kindanuff to point out for me?

or could any1 recommend another way to remove the 28 bytes of overhead?
or a way to convert the DAT BACK TO OGM??????

and as far as AVIMux_GUI.exe goes
why would you recommend that program?
I didnt see anything about outputting to ogm :scared:

thanks for reading this...

Try to open and save it in MPC, it will autoconvert it to a normal file then.
