View Full Version : VOB length (time) Is this created by DVD Decrypter or embedded in the DVD VOB?

When dvddecrypter reads the VOBs (in IFO mode), does it determine the length (in time) of this VOB? Or is this information embedded into the VOB structure somewhere in the beginning?

Creating my own backups I have found that Roxio will report a time for a VOB much shorter than tha actual length of time for the segment.

If embedded, is there a tool that I can use to inspect and or modify this value?

thanks!

It's in the IFO files. Well, the figures I use are anyway.

I dont use Roxio products so I cant comment on those.

Lightning UK,

Thanks for the reply, let me ask the correct question :

When reading the VOBs etc from the DVD, are the timecodes within each GOP modified from the source on the DVD?

If you perform stream processing and demux the m2v stream, the default settings in DVD Decrypter tell it to patch the first GOP timecode to 00:00:00.
Other than that, nothing gets changed.
