I am trying to backup my R2 ver of Reloaded (Disc 1)
It seems to rip okay, and the resultant DVD (which I burnt with Nero) works perfectly on my PC but, on my standalone it doesn't run (Just stays as a black screen or runs through the copyright info and freezes)!
It isn't the discs as other films have worked fine, so I am unsure if it is Reloaded or DVDShrink (I am using v3 beta 5)
anyone got any ideas or advice?

well it might aswell be the disk. just that you have burnt a few movies onto the same media won't guarantee that every piece of this media is perfect.
anyway, since it does play on your PC, i highly doubt it is reloaded, but rather think something has gone wrong while using DVD shrink!

I think I figured it out :)
the discs generally have been good too me ;)
I think its Nero, I had selected a non-standard ISO (31 chars) I burnt another with 11+3 and it works fine now :D
Thanks all the same..
Now the Matrix 1.... anyone backed this up?
This goes completely fubar when I try it :(

hi,
glad to hear you did it... :)
anyway, Matrix one is probably the most backed up DVD ever! it's true, it's truly f***ed up, but this is what makes it this interesting. if you look at this guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ButtonOverVideo.htm) you'll get an idea of what i'm talking about! :)
so if you do not want to invest A LOT of time and effort i'd suggest you go for a movie only copy :)
