i got myself read or die ( 3 anime episodes ) on dvd
now i want to reauthor a version with german subs for me and some friends to watch
i ripped the 3 episodes in seperate streams with dvddecrypter
but if i try to import the m2v of the second episode
maestro stops at time index 00:02:54:15 and says parsing:8
(he was at 8 percent)
the other m2v s work flawlessly
its only this one(which i could also watch)
and i used all error detections i found in dvd decrypter
please help, as 3 episodes with the second one not working are useless to watch

Why don't you try reencoding, or manually playing the file and try and see if theres a corrupted frame or something which you might need to cut out.

There was a post on this a while back that i just can't seem to find right now.Basicly it said what dvd master suggested. That maybe the m2v is a little strange and that running it through cce will fix it.It also said something like maybe the clip were joined together when making the dvd and maestro is just detecting an error in it because of the way maestroe detects errors. If 00:02:54:15 happens to be where a chapter point is you can set decryptor to demux this clip by chapter,or cells, and drop them into the movie timeline in maestro one after another. It works for some problem clips.

Hmmm... had the same problem recently with an animation feature too.
The m2v was over an hour long but Maestro only imported 12 seconds of it!
After trying several VOB demuxers and pulling nearly all my hair out, I ran the m2v through ReStream. It turned out that the video had progressive frames but for some reason the stream was not marked as progressive. I enabled the progressive sequence flag, resaved the video and guess what... Maestro imported the whole file unchoked.
ReStream doesn't re-encode (as CCE would), it justs changes the flags of the m2v sequence header so it's really a matter of minutes and since you're dealing with anime I think it will do the trick for you too.
Get ReStream at http://shh.dvdboard.de/restream.html

What really happens is that the stream is actually consisting of 2 or more pgcs. One that is 2mins long and the main feature. Some how the end flag that exists in the 1st pgc stops maestro from importing the rest or imports it all but can see up to it.
U need to demux by vob id or based on what ifoedit reports on cell id, or u can record the exact that this anomally is occuring and using dvd2avis markers for start and end extract 2 segments of the video.

thanx for all the help, guys
at the end, it worked using single ripped chapters
after ripping each chapter and reconcatenating them in maestro it worked
:)
