Hi there,

This means the image created is too large for the disc you selected.

A possible fix:

Set the CD size to 10MB lower than what it was previously specified.

BTW, I got this error when specifying 4480MB for a DVD-R. It was fixed by using 4470GB.

Regards,
Bob

Hi,
I also get this 'different duration' Scenarist error, although my muxing stops part-way in & I get a 'can't write to disc error' (plenty of space left on my drive though). I'm using dvd2svcd 1.21b3, cce 2.5 + scenarist 2.6. I also used the mr.bass guide & have tried lowering the max bitrate to 8500, but with the same result. Some threads suggested that Scenarist has a max input bitrate of 8000 so maybe try lowering it to 7950 or something ? - although it obviously works for some, including mr.bass. That's my next avenue.

I have lots of problems as well. With both computers so I know its not a pc issue. I solve the problem by using dvd2svcd to strip the end credits and the first few seconds of the movie and they work everytime. Dont know why. Logos or something mess it up.

Just had a thought - is a FAT32 partition possibly a problem ? Maybe an NTFS drive is needed. Not having completed the process successfully yet I'm not sure what the largest file size is, but my drive is FAT32.

UPDATE: Yep, that was my problem. The .mpv file created is greater than 4 meg so mine was getting truncated with FAT32. This resulted in Scenarist reporting it as the wrong duration. I ran DVDdecrypter for the first time (to burn) & I see it actually reports on your drives...wish I'd done that earlier !
