ps2 and aiw 9800

i know that the aiw cards deinterlace the overlay video, so i was wondering if i could plug my ps2 into a 9800 aiw and play the games progressive, or if im better off buying a tv

if the aiw radeon 9800 isnt good for playing my ps2 on my computer, is there any solution other than dscaler or something?

The AIW with MMC is probably the only combo that will allow you to do that. Other SW/HW has a too long latency to make games playable.
