The problem has been appearing since 4days.It is the automatic ejection of CDRW tray with out any human intervention.

Whenever I boot up my PC, after loading of windows(i.e the first screen in XP),the CDRW tray ejects. After closing it and before completely loading windows it again pops out.If I wait until all windows/software components are loaded(no disc activity) and again close the tray ...no problem at all.If I play mp3 discs or movie discs some times it ejects arbitarly.I cannot understand what is causing it.This problem exist even if I'm not on net..so don't think its a hacker activity.May be possible virus..but I have working updated AVG 7 antivirus. No virus are detected on scanning. And I can say its not with hardware of drive as i could read/Write discs without problems other than this. And one more thing, there was no problem with the drive when connected on another computer.

Its funny because I have another DVDrom on the same IDE channel(Secondary Slave). It is not ejecting arbitarly.
Do anyone had similar problems with CD drives,or any suggestions?
Thanks

Last few days I was waiting for the occurence of same problem, nothing happened.Might the problem is solved. What I did was installation of MS Blast virus patch found on Microsoft's website - windows update section. After that no poping of tray happend even once.I think some traces of msblast virus was there causing the problem.
Bye.
