This is driving me up the wall. I've found a thread or two when I searched that says to replace the bogus video clip with another bogus video clip.

Here's the error:

Error (The duration is too short (3 frame(s)))
Error dvd_mux : Open Mux_list File Error
Error Terminated Multiplexing (test2.scn-pgc4 VTS_01_1 - 0xE0 - 72_1_t.vob).
Error Wrong timecode.
Error Multiplex is failed.
Error Multiplexer failed (pgc4 VTS_01_1 - 0xE0 - 72_1)
Info Finished Multiplex - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)

Now, when I replace the video clip with a filler clip (thanks Trilight!), same problem. This is even if I delete the entire project, create new from script, yadda yadda. I've come to the conclusion (correct? who knows?) that this is not because of the video clip, but of how long the scene is set in Scenarist.

I admit, I have pretty much no idea what I'm doing in scenarist, but here's what I tried. I deleted the PGC in question, and drug it onto the track layout. I then linked it to the PGC that it should be linked to, and voila, same problem when I try to compile.

For the life of me, I can't figure out where you specify the length for a scene in scenarist. In the Scenario editor, you can link things, but can't actually edit times, etc. Am I wrong?

Some backup info: The m2v file in question is originally just a 1.5 second blank clip. I've replaced it with both Trilight's video fill clip, and a few other 16x9 blanks I've come across in backing up other DVDs.

Anyone know what I'm missing?

Thanks for your help.

You have to edit your times in the property browsers of the track editor window.Highlight the scene and type a new time in for the start of that scene. You adjust the length of a still type of clip by highlighting the clip and type in a new duration.

Agh! This is killing me. I'm in the timeline editor, I can drag the bar over to the right, but it just snaps back when I let go of the mouse button!

I can't find a place to change the time for this scene, it's stuck at 00:00:00:00. When I bring up the properties for the video (in the track editor), and double click on main video play, it brings up a screen with start time, duration, etc, but anytime I make a change to any of these numbers, they are not retained.

It just won't let me resize this stupid filler video clip! It's driving me up the wall! Anyone got an idea?

Thanks

I'm not sure what your trying to accomplish here.If your scenebar is stuck a 0:00 it might mean that you only have one scene. You can only adjust the start time of the scene, not the end.If your trying to make the whole clip longer I don't think that you'll be able to do that if it's a m2v file. You can do it by using a blank psd file.Make your blank psd, drag it to the data folder in scenarist and import as still menu.Double click on it int the data folder and change the aspcet ratio to 16x9 in the property browser.Drag to the track editor as slideshow and adjust the time in the property browser.

I have no idea wahats going to fix this problem but another thing you might have already tried is to open reauthorist again and uncheck the pgc thats giving you problems. It might work if reauthorist makes the dummy.

Excellent. I never would have thought to uncheck it in re-authorist. I am just so at a lost over this problem, I can't hardly think straight to fix it.

I'm getting a bunch of interesting errors these days with Scenarist, and it used to work fine 90% of the time. I'm just about ready to reinstall my OS and start from scratch.

I'll try your fix, hopefully it works... Thanks!
