Hello,

like the title says it always crashes when starting encodings.
I tried different version of VirtualDub and 2 or 3
version of XVID (current version is 24062003 by Koepi)..why
is this happening (Divx encodings works great)...avs is
created with GordianKnot 0.28.6.2 and i have Win2000 SP4.

PLEASE HELP ME!!

Gordian Knot uses VirtualDubMod to encode it's video. The reason was that VirtualDub didn't support the YV12 colorspace, until recent versions.

This might be the problem you are having. I haven't tested anything in great detail yet but my vdub and vdubmod crashes whenever Hinted ME is turned on, turn it off and it works. When vdub crashes it just says that there's a fault in the module xvid.dll (can't remember the details of the top of my head. Try turning off the hinted me.

in "Iago's XviD 2-pass walkthrough" it says:

Options in “Quantization” tab are inactive for the first pass. Go to “Two Pass” tab and specify the name and location of your 1st pass stats file. Leave the rest as is and do NOT check Hinted ME.

I think hinted me is turned on by default but I am not sure of that.

I Turned Off Hinted ME, but the problem remain...

Here's Error message

An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'xvid'...
...while compressing frame 0 from 033a0000 to 03e40020 (VideoSequenceCompressor.cpp:375)...
...while running thread "Processing" (thread.cpp:105).
