i am a noob. i looked and did not find an answer to my question. is there a one click backup solution that can change a movie from widescreen to fullscreen

It's a poor question.
DVDpatcher can change the flag quickly enough.
But are you really asking about cropping the video?
cropping the video would require re-encoding.

no but you can do that with your standalone dvdplayer.
Say you have a regular 4:3 TV. Go to the video settings on your dvdplayer and set it to 4:3 pan/scan. That way it'll almost be fullscreen (I think) and it'll cut out lots of the side video on both sides. Since I have a full screen I always set my to 4:3 letterbox cuz I like the fullscreen.
