It seems that dvd2avi does not produce enough gain on ac3 for me. Although I can manage it with the volume level of the ac3's by boosting amp volume, I am trying to figure out a way to capture ac3 with more gain (or at higher volume).

First of all, which part of ripping process is this problem related to? Dvd2avi, BeSweet, or else (excluding the source DVD)? I have read some previous posts including the thread below, and it is not very clear to me where the problem resides at first. Could anyone enlighten me regarding the source of this problem?

Is there a way to do so by changing settings of dvd2avi?
Thanks in advance...

First of all this isn't DVD2AVI job to produce any additional gain on your AC3 files. This tool have only limited list of audio processing tools (it's better that way IMHO).A much better idea would be ripping all your AC3 tracks with Normalize set to 100% // DRC control set to "Normal", and then setting up gain levels using AC3filter on playback.
