DVDShrink and DVD2one will both do what you ask but will not keep the menus.

DVDLab is another option and you can create your own menu if you want :)

But DVD Shrink will not update the VOB-ID on disc 2, right?
The problem will be that zapping back to chapters on title 1 will not be possible if you are looking on title 2, right? Zapping from title 1 to title 2 works of course.

I just did this with A Time To Kill which has first part of movie on side A and remainder on side B.
Using DVDShrink, you get a two title result that is shrunk to fit on 1 dvd-r. To turn it into a single title you need to use VOBEdit.
First, rename all of your movie vob's starting at vts_01_001.vob, vts_01_002.vob, etc. That means the vts_02_01.vob must be renamed to vts_01_005.vob for example. When finished, start VOBEdit and open vts_01_001.vob. There should be a menu option at the top (I think it is EDIT). Click on that and choose "join clips" from the drop down list. You will be prompted for the starting VOB ID (usually 1), the joined file name and destination path. Fill that in and click on OK (or whatever the prompt to continue is). When VOBEdit is done, you will have a single title set of your combined movie. Then use IFOEdit to create your IFO's. You must open the new IFOs in IFOEdit and click on "get VTS sectors" to correct sector locations. Then your movie only creation will be ready to burn (if is is at or under 4.36gigs).
