Hi I have been converting Divx/avi movie files downloaded onto DVD my Prolem starts when adding a simple menu I have used Canopus Procoder then added a menu with nero expression. Why after I have addded the menu does Nero expression take an hour or more to prepare it for burning? I also tried TMPGen my file size after encoding was about 4.0 gb after a 5% reduction to allow space for the menu Again loaded a menu with nero expression takes another hour or more and file is reduced to 2.9gb Why ? Both movies play ok but go really blocky in a couple of places not the same position on both disks! This makes me think the problem is Nerovision. I just want a basic menu so the DVD will play in my stand alone I have tried various programs to try and achieve this Pinnacle expression a disaster increased the file size and took forever. Why should adding a play button take over an hour and affect the already encoded file by gb's.
nb No lectures about quality please "There not that bad"

I think that Nerovision re-encodes everything no matter how it's origianlly encoded. That's why it takes so long. I haven't a clue on the variable file size.
