Yes, this old chestnut again. I've searched through the forum, but can't find a definitive answer on this problem.
I'm using DVD2SVCD (latest build) & CCE 2.5 to convert an AVI to DVD MPEG-2. I have done at least 20 movies this way over the last couple of months, at top speed with no problems whatsoever.
Of course, now I get the bbmpeg error "Cannot write to output file" after CCE has finished encoding and the muxing starts.
My system :
2 x P3 800Mhz
786MB RAM
2x20GB HDD, 1x80GB HDD (Win2K, the drive I'm using for the conversion, at least 35GB free space).
Win2000 SP3
So, things suggested that it might be (in other threads):
1. Disk space - Plenty of that thanks ;)
2. Virus checker - I'll try disabling it, but I think this is unlikely to be the cause as I've done so many error free conversions when it's running.
The other thing that occurred to me was that my Win2K drive is FAT32, not NTFS. Could bbmpeg be fussy because the output file will be over 2GB? Again, I think this unlikely as I've always made files of 2-4gb with this conversion method, and never had a problem.
Thanks for any feedback, and if it helps I can post a logfile tonight when I get home.
