Hi komanch,

You can create similar WAVs [as you done on creating DD/DTS Audio CDs] and burn them as DD/DTS Audio DVDs using your favourite burning software.

Is it really so easy?
What kind of software would you recommend?

You can make music DVD's with only AC3 streams (stereo or 5.1) with DVD Architect.

Here is a link to a guide :

Sorry komanch & Eye of Horus,

It was only a theoretical idea.I really donot own a DVD burner.Only I have is CD burner, and I have tried this method and got good results with DD Audio CD.
Sorry my mistake......

@Eye of Horus

May I ask why this method is incompatible?Or cant we create audio DVDs with WAV files?

@ Tuning

DVD Audio is not a DD-Wav on DVD-R. DVD audio is an entirely different format from CD or DVD-Video, using the often-empty audio_ts folder and aob (audio object) files. It hasn't been tremendously widely accepted, so software dealing with it is limited. There is currently no effective way to decrypt them and I believe in order to author one you'll need some very high end authoring software (couldn't tell you the names, try a forum search.)

I'm not sure if creating a so called 'dolby digital wav on DVD' would work or playback on most systems.

Because WAV's on DVD won't be played back..... (that is : on standalone players > just try it with a DVDRW !)

It would have been easy if they did though !!!!

If you want DVD-Audio Disk then you'll have to get diskWelder(Minnetonka's website). It's the only DVD-Audio authoring software that I know.About DVD-Audio PC playback, WinDVD Platinum plays DVD-Audio & you can get the DVD-Audio Pack from their website.I just bought Sound Blaster® Audigy® 2 ZS PRO,supports DVD-Audio at 24-bit/192kHz in stereo & 24-bit/96kHz in 5.1 surround, honestly I got supprised from the sound quality.

No !! Tested and it won't !

You can burn a audio cd from wav's but you cannot burn a audio dvd from wavs.
Of course there's the dvd-audio format but that's not what you meant, huh ? Anyway, this is explained by KpeX and DSP800.....

kind regards,
