WHat exactly doesn't work? You can't output directly to your pioneer?
If so, just output to your HD first and then burn with any burning prog. (suggest to make an image with img tools classic and burn with dvddecryptor)

Yes you can output from spruce to your HD. You'll get a VIDEO_TS folder probably. You can burn that. Some people report problems with Nero.
WHat I always do is to create an image with img tools classic and then burn with dvddecryptor. But that's up to you ofcourse. If Nero works for you then that's fine too.

I don't know Img tools, is it a DVD program, or I can work with Spruce and burn the Image with it.

I don't know what format Spruce exactly outputs. But I guess that it's just a VIDEO_TS folder. You can burn this with any DVD capable program (as should be nero).
IMG tools is just a piece of software which produces and iso file that can be burned (very safe procedure). you can find a copy of it at www.doom9.org download section.

Spruce can't create a directory with your authored files? That's strange

Spruce Up can build a VIDEO_TS folder or a image folder. It acts upon what u instruct it to do. The commands r in the build window (No:3)
