Ifoedit Requirements

Hey Guys, I just reformatted my computer and now DVD-play doesnt work. It says '1 out of 3 DVD-Video streams failed to render properly - subpicture stream' what am I missing?
I installed PowerDvd 5.0 and DirectX 9.0. Am I missing anything else?

Anything? I'm quite puzzled what could be the difference than before I formatted my computer. Any help would be great.

I had a similar problem a while back - download the Divx codecs and the Fraunhofer filter (all available in the download area) and, after installing them, reboot your machine. let me know if this works for you too.

frauenhofer codecs are not as good as PowerDVD - if you have that installed and it doesn't work with IfoEdit then use my installer for the codecs:

I tried both of those methods. And it does not work. And for Maa's codec, I'm missing some of those required files.

Man, that's all I got. You did remember to reboot after installing the stuff that maa and I sugested, right?

Yeah. I rebooted. Only thing is that Maa's thing would work because I was missing the necessary files. And after I installed your filter you suggested...PowerDVD woudlnt work anymore. SO i had to uninstall and reinstall.

Sorry - forgot to mention that I wrote the installer for PowerDVD 4 - 5 has the files in different folders.

I reformatted and have PowerDVD XP (v4) and I can't get IFOEdit to PLAY anymore either.

I'm having the exact same problem. When I use IFOEDIT to preview the playback is staggered and the color overlays in the menus are not visible. Funny thing, I have 2 pcs that are almost identical and I only have this problem on one of them. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you solved your problem? Something happened to me that was similar and while I was attempting to fix it, I learned that I had been infected by a worm.

Additionally, after just upgrading to XP Home I discovered that I cannot migrate files into XP and have them work completely. I have to, in the case of IFO Edit, copy them to a folder "fresh."

By the way, it was the NACHI WORM.

This is totally strange. I played a dvd by pointing WinDVD to the folder and now IFOEDIT plays them correctly as well. I don't understand why that happened but if anybody else who is having this problem might want to try.
