Scenarist: pre or post commands when linking with PGCs?

I have created a tile button, a menu button, and an audio button PGC. I want to link them all to the title containing the still menu.
Which command should I use, the pre or the post (or is there a difference).

If you trying to link the buttons to something I guess the button commands are the ones you would want.You would need a subpicture with somekind of highlighted buttons for this to work though.Pre is for before the clip plays,post is for after the clip plays.

No, I am not trying to link buttons. I created those title, audio and menu PGCs which will be linked to the still menu title. So when the user presses the menu button on the remote control he will be taken to the still menu.

I don't quite think I understand what you are trying to do.Are you trying to have the main still menu appear when you press the menu button when you are in one of these other menus or are you trying to link it when the user is watching the movie.

When someone is watching the movie and he presses the menu/audio/title button of the remote control, to be taken to the one and only still menu (which by the way is the first play)from where he can do his desired selections.
In that one and only still menu there are selections for the subtitles/audio lang/titles and so on in a nicelly organized menu. The buttons there have been already linked to the various parametres

I think I understand now.You have only one menu that you make all your selections from.It still makes it a little tough because I don't know what your scenario layout looks like at this point.This is how I might set it up if I was starting from scratch.

I would right click on the videomanager and add a language.In this i would add a blank still image.The pre command would be Jump to pgc in systemspace/rootmenu.

Put the movie in VTS_1 Tile_1.

Right click on VTS_1 and add a language.Right click on the language and add a pgc.Put your one and only menu in that.You'll see it has a special little tab that identifies it as the root menu.

Right click on the language folder again and add another PGC.Put the blank still menu in this one too.When you click on this you'll see in the middle window at the bottom of scenarist a thing called menu id.Change this from no menu to audio menu.Set the pre command to Jump to PCG in system space/title menu.


This way it should work the way you want it to.Theres probably a bunch of different ways to do this,this is one.
