Hi friend,
I have a big problem.
I encoded 2 DVD using xvid codec koepi "XviD-Koepi24062003" unstable version.
Avisynth script created with gordian knot, first DVD (source NTSC) with IVTC, neutral bicubic, second one on PAL same thing but without IVTC. WIndows XP Pro + AMD 700 + ati radeon 128 mb memory + 512 mb ram.
I uses a Doom9 guide for optimal xvid setting codec.
1 pass:
6 - h.263 - xvid - 4 - 250 - 1
use croma motion flagged only
b-frames control 2-150-75
dx50... flagged
2 pass int:
6 - new modulated - 4 - 300 - 1
b-frames control 2-150-75 (lumi masking flagged)
quantization 2-6-2-16
two pass tuning:
I-frame boost: 5%
below i-frame: 5
alternative curve:
actived - medium - 500-90
debug: chroma optimizer fagged
1 CD, bitrare 870
aparentrly no problems, very nice image
I use koepi decoder, I also tried all xvid decoder codec, I tried ffdshow filter too... Image on my PC it's very nice, fluid and definite, really "fluid".
I shared, some peoples downloaded, now there are many peoples that have problems to decode...
50 % of peoples have no problems using every kind of xvid codec to decode.
50 % of peoples have "sobbing" (skipping) problem to decode the 2 movies, normally they don't have same problem with all other AVI/Xvid movies.. they told me thy tried many solution, all xvid decoder (Koepi, Nic's, Umaniacs).. Some of that finally watch good with nic's stable decoder, some othe using ffdshow filter only, some of that did not resolved the problem ???!!!??? what's up, i have any problem to decode??!!
I give a copy to my brother that he know situation, it's a programmer, he know many this about codec, windows, hardware.
using a pentium 4 2.000 he has the same problema image "sob", image go ahead and behind every seconds. Is now trying some other decoder (now is using yours one, koepi)
Do you know what prablem could be??????
that information datas are full (i can watch it very well, so I think in the compression info datas are full).
could you help me???
ciao from italian friend
