I wasn't sure where to post this ...
I have owned a Pioneer 105 DVD writer for the last 4 months.
I use DVDDecrypter to rip my Disks.
Then either DVDShrink 2.3, DVDShrink 3.0b5, or InstantCopy 7 to compress them.
Then either ImgTool (nero), ImgTool Classic or DVDDecrypter to write them back to DVD-r.
For the first 3 months any combination of the above produced backups which played perfectly on either of my standalone players; a Poineer 414 and a Yelo 800.
But over the month I have noticed the occasional 'blocking' and 'audio drop-out' on both standalones.
I had upgraded the firmware on my writer to the latest official 1.33, but this did not cure the problems. I then downgraded the firmware back to the original official 1.30, but the problems still occur.
The problems have got progressively worse. Last night I watched my latest backup which had approx 20 'blocking' sequences & 10 'audio drop-outs', it also paused / froze at one point.
The problems happen on both standalone players, but at different points in the movie ... which is confusing me even more.
Both standalone players play original disks perfectly.
I have always used the same types of disks: either TDKG02 or RITEKG04.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Can anyone offer a solution? ... as I am running out of ideas :(
thanks
