Hello all.

Made a 16:9 Chapter Selection menu recently and thought it was a good idea to have all 20 chapters in one screen. So I made 21 buttons (one more for back to "Main Menu") and compiled the project only to get this warning from Maestro: "Button 19 and up will be ignored for 16:9 menu"

Does this mean that you can only have up to 18 buttons per menu page if you're making 16:9 menus? What about 4:3 menus? I only knew about the 99 menu pages limitation of DVD specifications, is this "18 buttons per page" a Maestro limitation or a general DVD specification?

God, I wish I had the time to read those 600+ pages worth of information that comes with Maestro...

It is a limitation of the DVD spec. There are 36 buttons total, but for 16:9 menues you must provide both a widescreen and a 4:3 (either auto-Pan/Scan or auto-letterboxed) display mode. This means the buttons get divided, 18 to each display mode.

Hmm, it makes sense...
Thanks for clearing this out for me
