I've been trying to play dts cds through my computer, instead of having to burn them and then playing them. What I have been trying to do is mount an image using daemon tool and play it through powerdvd. It does work...well sorta. My receiver detects that it's dts, but it's all garbled. I'm thinking that it is because my soundcard(onboard realtek AC'97) is not certified DTS. If this is true I guess i'm stuck, but if anyone knows a fix I would greatly appreciate it.

btw, EOH thanks for the great ambra post, stuff sounds great:D

It need not be the problem of ur soundcard. Most of integrated sound chips are capable of runnig 44.1 sampled files and DVD software players use this.Did u tried WinDVD?

What speaker settings are you using?.That is if u have only stereo then use stereo only otherwise above mentioned problem can occur.
