muxing and dvd2dvd

is their a way ( hopefully a guide ) to mux the files that dvd2dvd gives WITHOUT scenarist ( i only have NT (2.5 ) ) , i figure their must be a way to do it in one of the other dvd authoring programs out their ... i would like to try out dvd2dvd at one point , manualy useing ifoedit/maestro/cce can be time comsuming , would be nice to have a 1 click soultion

You have 2 options that I know of. Although With these options you can not have multipule audio streams or subtitles...

1. Use DVD2DVD-R instead of DVD2DVD. The guide is Here (http://davis28.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Gudie/guide.html) , with DVD2DVD-R, it will mux with ifoedit automatically if your source is PAL. If it is NTSC, you will need to use DVDLAB.

2. If you really want to use DVD2DVD then there is a way to do it as I have muxed it in DVDLab once when Sonic failed for me. Basically, you can have it do the normal process by following mrbass's guide here (http://www.mrbass.org/dvd2dvd/) , and if you don't have the right version of sonic then when it gets to that point it will fail. Or you might can click on "Don't make Images" on the CD Image tab. So let DVD2DVD do its thing and create the re-encoded video and audio streams and put them into the directories that you set up (per the guide). Look for the Video file (.M2V) that has "Pulldown" in the name. And then look for the audio file (.ac3) that says Encoded Audio. Those are the two that you want. Then open up DVDlab and follow the Muxing instructions for DVDlab found here http://davis28.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Gudie/guide.html, (this guide was for DVD2DVD-R, but the muxing part is the same. Also in your DVD2DVD output folder you will see a Chapters file for Maestro, it will say Maestro-Chapters.chp or something like that (going from memory here). It might be a .txt file or a .chp file. So use that file for the chapters when looking at the guide above for muxing with DVDLab.

There is a third option, using dvd2svcd with IFOEdit, so be careful if NTSC, I did not test it with NTSC material..
