Good to see that this great tool is still being developed.

But there seem still to be unfulfilled wishes, which I'd like to tell here (mostly for those people who are not able to tell them in english):

- Internationalisation: An easy way to support several GUI languages, probably as stringtable DLLs.

- Support for burning to several DVD burners at the same time, as known from Nero.

I know that some wishes may be less important to the developers than others - so I'd like to see at least your opinion, if not even a hint to any official wishlist I do not yet know...

:) :) Or how about an add on Control Buttons w/ screen that let us preview each VOB whether by Chapter or by File like DVD Shrink. I had to open other program to see which file is the one I want before ripping.

I've had problems with 3.1.7.0. It doesn't seem to correctly select the Main Movie VOBs automatically, and when it has finished ripping, there is no Stream Information file created automatically.

Do I have to set things up more manually in this latest version? I'm going back to using 3.1.6.0 for now (great ripper, though!). Thanks.

It now starts up in File mode and selects all the files by default.

As I bet the majority of users are making use of tools like CloneDVD, DVDShrink, DVD2One etc it made sense to change it to be like that.

People who know what they're doing would already know how my program works and so to them, it doesnt matter, they just change it to whatever mode they like.

You dont appear to know how to use my program and have got stuck. Just switch to IFO mode and you'll be back to what you're used to.
It will open up in IFO mode automatically next time you start so dont worry!

Yes, I haven't really looked at the other options in Decrypter, so I was a bit thrown by the change in startup mode :o

I read an article today which showed the different modes, etc., and that I only had to switch to IFO I mode.

I guess you're reply could have simply said: Read The Fucking Manual.

A manual would be great - even one compiled by someone else. I know there's lots of FAQs and guides around, but it'd be good to have a proper Help file to refer to.

i am trying to decrypt In the Bedroom dvd. it copys to my hard drive. when i try to view it from my hd, it displays green with pixels moving ( i can not see anything) i could hear the sound though. is this some sort of new protection?

Hi and welcome to the forums-

It sounds as if you didn't remove the Macrovision protection. Go Tools-Settings-General and check "Remove Macrovision Protection". If I remember correctly, it's checked by default. Were you fooling around in there?

I've got a problem with the new DVDD also. I currently have the previous one instlled, and I'm trying to install ver. 3.1.7.0, but i get this messege only part of the read process memory or the write process memory was completed and it does nothing. Do I have to uninstall the previous version before installing the new one?

Try downloading it again. It sounds like yours is corrupt.

LIGHTNING UK! why do we need to set the correct region in this version? i thought it didnt matter if you're only ripping the dvd. is this just to speed things up or does it actually change the region of the drive?

Which region are you talking about?

Are you getting a box pop up or something? Maybe an entry in the log?

You only need to set it when the program tells you too via a couple of lines in the log.
Of course if you're not going to be using the IFO files, you dont need to.

Because otherwise the program will patch with the wrong region and your disc wont play.

Here in Greece you are FAMOUS and everyone is using your programm (including me from the start of the decrypter life.,,,).

One question for u....

When the dual-layer DVD-R (dvd9) comes out, will your programm be able to read & write in Iso mode like it does now?
