Hello
I have a DVD and just wanna rework the audio track. Nothing will happen to the pictures. The audio wonīt be shorter or longer afterwards. I just wanna “remaster” it with Cool Edit.
After that I wanna make a “new DVD out of it.
Itīs important for me that itīll be easy and quick !

Any idea ??? Can you recommend any Software ??

Thanks in advance

You can do this with plenty of tools. You can use authoring software for that like DVDMaestro, Sonic Scenarist, DVD Lab,... or you can use free software called Ifoedit. I donīt know your experience with DVD authoring process but you should be able to follow this (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-dvdauthor.htm) guide. Feel free to post if you need some help :).

Interesting idea - do post your results !

The re-authoring wont be a problem but stripping the AC3 and re-making it could be.

I have done this a number of times with cooledit, but I have only been able to edit the 2-channel audio and re-author in Scenarist. The sheer pain involved with splitting 5.1 sound into 6 files, and editing each one individually, then rejoining them was too much for me to take, although it is possible. When a 5.1 version of cooledit comes out, all will be possible again.
