system hang when play xvid movie

hi, my system recently just added another cpu become dual cpu P3 1000 mhz . i using win xp pro, before i added another cpu it work find but after i added when ever i using wmp 9 or mpc or mplayer2 it always hang after play few minute. the only player now that not hang are divx player. is the problem due to the player or the codex?:confused:

Sounds more likely due to your CPU than XviD ;)

You didn't specify what version of XviD you have or what DirectShow filter your using for playback.

when i said divx player can play without hang, it only work once , if u close player and run again to play another movie "Hang", Vlc worse you can see windows famous blue screen. bsplayer, crystal player "hang"

the problem solve once i took out one of the cpu

Are you sure it is not your new CPU? Try running prime95 in 'tourture test' mode for as long are you are willing (at least 12 hours) to see if you get any errors. If you pass prime95 for 24 hours then you can be fairly sure the problem isn't bad CPU or RAM.
