I split the movie Matrix Reloaded with ifoedit and copyed the 2nd VTS title set (only 2 title sets) to both folders containing the split and hit "get vts sectors" and ran into a problem when playing the split back in ifoedit. I've done this a million times with little problem before so I'm wondering if anyone has run into this yet.

Ifoedit will play the split until the menu and when I choose "play movie" it will show a brief clip of Nero fighting and then display the message "An illegal navigation command was encountered" and then stop. According to the structure of the original disc, right after Nero's fight sequence its supposed to go directly to the movie.

When I play back the original rip on my HD it plays the movie correctly. There are only two title sets to the movie and from what I can tell all necessary vobs, cells etc.. are present in both halves of the split. I could just split the movie and leave out the menu but the menu is cool and I would like to save it if possible.

I just went ahead and burned the resulting files onto a rw disc for the heck of it anyway and strangely enough it worked in my standalone dvd player and the computer even though ifoedit wouldn't play it.

I guess ifoedit sometimes gets hung up on certain aspects of files that a standalone doesn't worry about. Whatever the case I'm glad to finally be viewing this film. :D

I was having the same problems as well. Didn't want to try and burn it and waste the disks but if iut worked out OK for you I guess I'll give it a try and see what happens.

Just be sure to test it on a +/-rw first to make sure.

What about dvdfab or dvdxcopy? Didn't those work on the first Matrix?

IFO edit worked on the first Matrix. Not sure what the problem is with the second. I ended up just running the split through DVD2one instead of possibly wasting a disk. WOrked fine just no menues.

I'll test dvdfab, there's some awesome menus, and the main movie is 6 gb, so a split does seem the best choice. I'll post my results.

I use Daemon Tools (availabe off the download page). It allows you to mount and play an .iso image on a "virtual drive" without having to actually burn the disc. Speeds things up considerably.

DVDFAB seems to split the movie fine with no playback problems. I agree with scots22 on reading it to an iso with dvddecryptor, then mounting it the using dvdfab.

Although I am having trouble to get disc 2 to play... changing it to Jumpt to Title 1 makes it say please insert disk 1. I think it needs to be set to Jump to Title 2. I'll try that and post the results. By default dvdfab makes disk 2 for this movie Jump to PGC 1, but my player can't read that.

Changing it to Title 2 fixed the 2nds disc.
