Any guides about CCE encoding? (movie-only backup)

I am bit desperate, i want to try to encode my movie-only backup using the famous CCE method. I tried DVD2DVD(1.2.1 Build 3) guide from mrbass but something is going wrong everytime it imports the files to the scenarist. Scenarist says that import was aborted and the error logs that the audio length is miss match with the movie time. It is starting to fixing the vobs though but at some percent it craches. Any tips about this or another way to use CCE?

For the above example i used dances with wolves NTSC dvd, cce 2.67.00.11 sp trial and scenarist v2.7.0241 pro.

you should have ripped it with internal routines

I used internal routines the first time i tried with DVD2DVD 1.2.1 build 2 and got the same problem. Then i thought that it may be a bug of DVD2DVD so i got the latest build 3 version and used the dvdecrypter trick through vstrip, for ripping. So i guess the ripping method doesnt matter for my problem. :(

should i use cce 2.5 as the DVD2DVD refers when you set the path of CCE or it doesn't matter?

Any other hints for my main problem, or a guide for dvd2dvd or dvd2dvdr for NTSC and PAL dvds?

ok found the solution for my problem and now everything works ok with DVD2DVD. I used cce 2.5 applying a patch to it also.

I got a movie of size 4.35gb, can i increase it somehow to 4.37 with DVD2DVD?

Also, I wouldn't worry about 20 MB. The difference in quality between 4.35 and 4.37 (only 0.46%) is neglible.

Beside, it's highly recommended to leave the last 20 MB of the disk empty. Quite a few people have reported playback problems when they burn right to the edge (though this might be media dependent).

layer3maniac i was using cce 2.67 trial sp, when i used cce 2.5 and putted the CRC patch from http://dvd.coldpie.com/ everything worked ok with the scenarist when it imported the movie. I dont know how though, but i am glad.
