Hey People,
Ever since I started encoding over a year ago, when it comes to audio encoding i've usually just followed doom9's guides. However, recently I decided to read into it a bit more and check over my audio settings.
One thing in particular is dynamic range - I've always encoding my OGG files using the -c normal parameter in OGG Machine. However, my pc is hooked up to my hi-fi system and I watch my movies at a fairly loud volume. Will it be safe to lower the dynamic range or do you recommend leaving it as "normal"? Is there a noticeable differance between the two?
Thanks
