Hey, I'm having a problem where every movie file with AC3 sound is getting choppy and will freeze every couple of seconds. I've muxed everything using the default values in AVImux and it's doing this now to new and old clips alike on different xvid buils. Clips without sound play fine, clips with AC3 sound play the sound fine, but cause the clips jerkiness
I've seen this problem before actually, the way I ended up solving it was reinstalling Windows XP from scratch. The fact that this is happening on discs I've watched with no problem before tells me that the problem is not with how I'm muxing them, but with my system itself. I'm using AC3filter at the moment, if I recall this happened on WinDVD Player's AC3 decoding method as well. If at all possible I'd like to avoid formatting/reinstalling again, does anyone have any ideas on this?
I've tried a system restore back to when everything was working, but that hasn't helped. I have no idea what I did to set this off. Also, if you feel this belongs in another forum, feel free to move it. Thanks.
