View Full Version : Can't Overburn CD on my Sony DRU-500A

Every time I try overburning a CD on my Sony DRU-500A, Nero (6.0.0.11) tells me "Invalid field in parameter" and "Could not perform start of disc-at-once".

Expert Features under Preferences is set.

It doesn't matter what make of disc or anything else that is changeable, I always get the same messages. I am now running 2.0g, but it was the same for all previous versions of the firmware.

Anyone any clues???

I discovered this problem awhile back. I don't think the drive allows overburning. :(

Use DAO/96 writing. You will at least be able to overburn till 81:30 this way (even though you technically do not really 'overburn' if the drive throws an error at 81:30)

Looking at Nero 'Recorder Information', it says overburning IS supported.

A burner does not tell the software if it can overburn, if I recall correctly. That means, Nero's database could just be b0rked

And Sony don't give a toss...
