I used the big 3 (CCE 2.5, RA 1.0.0 and DIF4u 1.3.0) to do a full backup of 'Gone in 60 Secs.' It encoded fine and RA created a Scen script fine also. When I used Scen to compile, the movie was messed up. The chapter points were all messed up and pointing to wrong spots in the movie. I did make sure that I used Ifoupdate correctly. So I figured I would take the assets that CCE and DIF4u created and manually do the Scen part. After doing it manually, it works fine and plays great. My quesion is has this happened to anyone else and if so, is it a bug of some sort? Any ideas on what may have went wrong?

like how? about a second first then gets worse and worse as the movie goes on (like 8 second or so)? you might wanna downgrade the dvd decrypter that you use.

Like when I tried later chapters in the movie, it would send me back to the Chapter Selection menu. The chapter points all pointed to the correct time stamp, but it was like the time stamp wasn't right to begin with. It's kinda hard to explain. The movie has 33 chapters but chapter 21 pointed to the end credits and 22-33 didn't work. What would 'downgrading' dvd decryptor do?

Looks like the ifoupdate part went completely wrong

If your movie has two pgc with the same movie you have to use one of them two messes up the movie. What I did wrong as I followed the guids was putting the video_ts stuff that was saved and not handled by doit4u and the files from scenarist to getter and than used ifoupdate. That does not work. What the guids do not mention is that you overwrite the autored ifo's and you need those for updating your original ifo.:D

Like I said, when I did the Scenarist part manually, it worked fine. So I was just wondering if DIF4u or ReAuthorist did something wrong or is it a bug?

i would guess that you just did something wrong, and if you had backtracked, recopied the ifos/bups from the image, recompiled the RA Scenarist project, and done ifoupdate again it would have worked OK.

I did backtrack, re-ripped the original ifos and bups and tried ifoupdating multiple times. Like I said DIF4u or RA might have just had a hiccup. Don't get me wrong, I'm not ragging on DIF4u or RA, I think both programs are awesome and have worked for me many times. I only posted this message out of curiosity.

Yeah I know you are not 'ragging' :)

I just haven't ever seen that happen. Musta been a weird hiccup.

Well, I have had several occasions where the RA script crashed on compile for one reason or another, but it didn't mess up my movie when I tried to play it. The times it did mess up tho, going back and doing the movie by hand did solve the problem.

Then again, I am good at causing problems so it could have been an Idiot at the Keyboard error.
