I'm not sure if you can do this, but you can try selecting Second pass, avs, log file and add the job. It might be broken feature in 0.28.x. We're working on more robust crash recovery mechanism for version 0.29...

Thanks for your reply len0x,it would be a nice extra little thing to do for the next version of GK,with this divx 5.1 its kind of a nightmare with slower computers (my P4 1.6Ghz is concidered slow now days  )

What you can try in future, if you have windows XP, is to run the encoding jobs in another user account (using Switch User option). That prevents the accidental hit of abort buttons and accidental closing of applications.
Though, sometimes you have to set the thread priority of VDub to idle manually to allow some speed for other things you're doing. Can't be done automatically, as far as I know.

abort button is no longer available starting from GK 0.28.6 :)

You can use a screensaver with password protection while encoding...
I always use this "blackscreen" one (needs no resources... ;)) when I leave the room ! :D

Ok, this was with Windows ME !!!
But now I switched to XP and saw that there is no password protection for screensavers here... :(
At the moment I use XP's "lockscreen" function...
%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation
It works fine...
But anyhow, Is there not a possibility to activate password protected screensavers in XP ???

There is already an option to set password.
"On resume Password protect"
Btw, you have to have a valid user account with password.

I have, because I need it for the "lockscreen" thing too... ;)
But for some reason the screensaver password protection is greyed out !!!
