Hi,

I am trying to change the framerate of a 5.1 AC3 file from an AVI file from 23.976 fps to 25 fps.

To get extract the file from the AVI, I used VirtualDub. then renamed the .wav to .ac3.

In the past I have been doing it in BeSweet with no problem apart from the volume. But today I did an AC3 file and the AC3 file it outputted was all crackly. I've got no options checked apart from the Frame Rate one, the bitrate which is 448 and the Channels which is set on 5.1. The bitrate of the original AC3 is 448 so that is not being changed.

I've tried it on both BeSweet and the AC3Machine. I have also tried not changing the frame rate but it still gives me the same output.

Is there anyway of fixing this or is there a different way of changing the framerate of the AC3??

Thanks for any help

Is there no way of fixing this?

What is the best way to get an AC3 file from an AVI and change it from NTSC framerate to PAL framerate?

thanks in advance

Instead of using VirtualDub to extract the AC3 from the AVI, just load the AVI into the BeSweet GUI and let it do the extraction and conversion all in one step. Also, make sure the ac3enc.dll being used is version 0.21, I've had huge problems with the 0.22 version of that dll.
