Error reading the dvd back

I've burned a dvd-r with imgtool/dvddecrypter and plays perfectly on pc and ps2.

I've tryed to read it back with dvddecrypter (iso mode):
With the burner, no prob (LG GSA-4040B).
With my normal dvd reading unit (LG 12x) it keeps reading a sector at 99%.

Any ideas?

1) Poor quality media.

2) Dust on the disc prior to recording.

I think that what Gooki means with 'poor quality media' is that your dvd-disk (not the reader/writer) isn't that good.

I agree with him: low-cost media give near the end of the dvd problems on my LG DRD8160B-reader too; on the other hand, only this drive gives those problems.

Just recently I've had that problem with my DVDROM drive. So I tried a few older MCC and TDK discs and had the same problem with them. I *think* copying was slow in explorer as well. My DVDROM drive can have trouble reading even unscratched dual-layered discs, so I blame it rather than the media.

Perhaps you have misunderstood me :), atm i'm using LG reader, LG writer and LG media too (i have a couple of LG's dvd-r disks).
Happy to see i'm not the only one experiencing this, i agree it could be a media problem, since my dvdreader never failed to read something before (probably i'll check with other media in the weekend).

Do try it out, as I'm curious for the result too.

In my case, Princo's give this problem on the LG-reader; Maxell & OptoDisc dvd's don't.

With Verbatim dvd-r i have the same problem (LG reader keep reading at 99%). This happens in iso mode.
In file mode i can read all files with no problem :confused:
