Utilizing the Return Button to return to the same section of movie that you left

I've been digging forever Scenarist to find a way to program the 'Return' button to take you back to the same section of movie that you left, if say you accidently hit the 'menu' button or the 'title' button.

Anyone have any clues on this? Do I have to set a Nav command and if I do, how do I utilize it to get back to the same section of movie that I just left? Let me know. Thanks.

The command is RESUME and has had a lot of disscussion - do a forum search....

Actually, it auto resumes anyway. Popped in a test DVD, hit the menu button, then pressed the resume button and it automatically goes back to where I was in the movie.

It seems if I tried to program this with a link, I'd remove this ability completely. Problem solved without any effort.

Some players don't have a resume button - they resume when pressing the menu button a second time. Resume is nearly always programmed into the DVD command structure on comercial DVDs for the play button or after changing language -things can be done via the remote anyway.

Yes, but my 'Enter' or 'Select' button on my Rotel (http://www.rotel.com/products/specs/rdv1060.htm) is also the 'play' button. So, if this were the case, I'm not quite sure how my player would deal with it. I would be selecting whatever menu item I was on instead of going back to the movie if the Resume button didn't exist. Maybe the play button functions as the resume button on some other players. Dunno. I'll have to go try this DVD on a different player to see how it deals with resuming.
