Play WMV files at correct AR in MPC or Zoomplayer

I have created a few anamorphic files using Windows Media Encoder 9. These files use non-square pixels, ie encoded at 720x576 but play back at 1024x576.
At the moment, only WMP9 will play these files at the correct (resized) AR. Is it possible to force Media Player Classic or Zoomplayer to read the file header(?)play back the WMV file stretched automatically on opening.
I know it is possible to set the custom AR and apply it once the file is running, but I would like it to auto detect when the disc is inserted.

ZP with the Derived AR Mode should work.

Unfortunately this doesn't work. I've tried all the options on the Aspect Ratio menu and the only one that gives the correct AR is Custom which I have set to 1:2.35 :(

MPC should be able to play back anamorphic WMV correctly as long as you set VMR-9 as your default video renderer.
