After reading on the doom9 news about Macrovision's DVD protection , i started to think how they will do this. IIRC the playstation 2 version uses the saved games to check and only if the game is saved does the protection kick in. I hear there are ways round it though, but considering the iso standard for dvds and the fact there are no memory cards or anything like them, i can't see any way they can do this, unless there going to bring out pseudo dvds that don't actually run on any machines! putting errors that will be picked up by DVD-roms etc are no good as people watch dvds on there pc. any one know any information?
