I can not get this program to make 1 DVD. EVERY time I try and make a DVD it crashes during transcoding. I am trying to put 2 DVD's (movie only) on to one DVD. I first ripped the originals to the HD. Used DVD2one to strip movies only. Then used vob-merge to create one VOB per movie. (about 1.9 GB each) I then create chapters, menus in nerovision express. When I go to create the DVD it crashes every time.

Shuld I be using a different product for this projet? Is nerovision any good at all?

This tool has had some bad press. From myself included. But, the current product works very well. I just put 5 hrs (yes five) hours of documentaries on a DVD. All recordings were at full res and high quality DVD setting. It worked out the compression for me (set it to long play mode). I set it to high high quality 2 Pass encoding. BTW the sources were, 1 X 2hr documentary from a VCR. 3 X 1hr terrestrial sources straight into my Radeon 8500DV. Expecting a cr*p output, I was very surprised by the picture quality (+/-VCR quality) and the sound was perfect with no loss of sync.

what I want as a non-professional user is to be able to back-up my tapes and vary the quality easily depending on the content. I save a bunch on disks too. I bought my license. Top marks nero.

Well, I just got it, messed around a bit...At first sight, it seems nice, easy use menus, no problems authoring the prepared data.
Personally I'm more interested in the .avi re-encoding. I should have the dvd plug-in for that. Is it worth getting it?

NVE - part 2....

I got the plug-in, and now having the same problems as case 101:
every time I put an avi file in the project or select ''next DVD'' it freezes.
I'm using the latest Vision Express, latest drivers for my ATI 9200, athlon 2500+, 512 RAM, so there shouldn't be a prob.
any ideas??
