Recode video removed bitmap

When I use recode for my backups and I remove content, Recode adds the "This video has been removed" bitmap. This displays fine on my PC with PowerDVD, but when I play the movie on my Pioneer standalone, the bitmap is all scrambled. Is there something else I should be doing?

I believe it's putting a PAL bmp in place instead of an NTSC one (or vice versa). See if there's an option to change that, or open up the bmp in a paint program, resize, and save over the old one.

NTSC should be 720 x 480
PAL should be 720 x 576

thanx you were right...it was a PAL image size and I have now changed it to an NTSC size. I will see if this cures the problem
